Whether you have a dedicated space or a small corner to work with, the right design elements can transform it into a delightful sanctuary. In this blog post, we’ll explore the top 5 design essentials you need to curate the perfect coffee nook. Let’s get started!

    1. Comfortable Seating: Sink into Relaxation Choose a comfortable chair or cozy seating option that invites you to sit back, relax, and savor your coffee. Consider a plush armchair, a cushioned bench, or even a cozy window seat. Add soft pillows and throws for extra comfort and warmth. Here, here and here are my top 3 favorite chairs to sink in.

    2. Coffee Station: Create a dedicated coffee station that houses all your essentials. Install floating shelves or a small cabinet to store your coffee maker (here you can find my favorites from Nespresso at the moment), mugs (here you can find some). Keep everything organized and within reach, making your coffee-making process seamless and enjoyable.

    3. Ambient Lighting: For setting the mood, lighting plays a crucial role in creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Go for soft, warm lighting options such as pendant lights, table lamps, or string lights. Dimmable lights allow you to adjust the ambiance to suit your mood, whether it’s a bright morning or a cozy evening.

    4. Personal Touches: Infuse your coffee nook with personal touches that reflect your unique style and personality. Display artwork, photographs, or beautiful candles (here, here and here some inspiration) that bring joy and inspiration. Add decorative elements like small shelfs to showcase your favorite coffee beans.

    5. Coordinated Colors: Create Harmony, Choose a color scheme that complements your existing décor and creates a harmonious atmosphere. Earthy tones like warm browns, soft neutrals, or calming blues can evoke a sense of tranquility. Incorporate these colors through wall paint, furniture, or decorative accents.

By incorporating these design essentials into your coffee nook, you can create a cozy and inviting space that enhances your coffee experience. Whether you have a small corner or a dedicated area, these elements will help you create the perfect ambiance for enjoying your favorite moment of the day. So, grab a cup of coffee, settle into your comfortable seating, and let your coffee nook become your personal haven.

  • Coffee with Collagen at 30

    Coffee with Collagen at 30

    My Energizing New Morning Ritual

As I entered my thirties, I realized the importance of establishing a morning routine that sets the tone for a productive and energized day. One of the key additions to my new morning ritual has been incorporating collagen into my coffee. In this post I will explain what I’ve learned along the way about collagen, why I’ve added it to my routine, and how to easy it is to incorporate this powder to your daily routine.

    Discovering Collagen:

Collagen, often referred to as the “glue” that holds our bodies together, is a protein found in our skin, bones, muscles, and tendons. As we age, our body’s natural collagen production begins to decline, leading to visible signs of aging such as wrinkles, sagging skin, and joint pain. Before reading about Collagen I didn’t know anything about this protein. But when I learned more I was really surprised about the benefits of adding collagen to my daily routine. Not only does it support healthy skin, hair, and nails, but it also aids in joint health, promotes gut health, and supports muscle recovery. By adding collagen to my morning coffee, I’m hoping to give my skin a radiant boost but to also nourishing my body from the inside out.

    Easy to use:

One of the things I love most about collagen is how easy it is to incorporate into my daily routine. While collagen supplements are available in various forms such as powders, capsules, and liquids, I prefer the convenience of collagen powder. It’s incredibly versatile and can be easily mixed with a variety of daily drinks, including smoothies, tea, and even water.

Coffee and Collagen: A Perfect Pairing:

Mixing collagen powder with my morning coffee has become second nature to me. The smooth texture of the powder blends seamlessly with the rich flavor of the coffee. If you drink your coffee with milk, make sure you add the collagen to your coffee first and then add the frothed milk after the collagen is completely mixed with your coffee. In this way you won’t get any lumps into your warm milk. Usually collagen is flavorless, so you won’t even notice anything different in your coffee.

As I embrace my thirties, I’m committed to prioritizing my health and well-being, starting with my morning routine. Incorporating collagen into my coffee has been a simple addition which will hopefully do wonders when the time passes. I notice small differences already but of course the real chance will become visible in the long run. Let me know your experience with collagen or other supplements, always happy to learn and try new things.

I’ve tried different collagen brands. My favorites at the moment are from Holland & Barret and Vital Proteins. Note: there are different types of collagen powder. As collagen is always based on animal products you can choose between; Pork, Fish and Cow.

5 Genius Kitchen Hacks to Simplify Your Life

Welcome to the world of kitchen hacks! Whether you’re a seasoned chef or an unseen at home cook, these simple yet effective tips will revolutionize the way you approach cooking and meal preparation. From saving time to reducing waste, these hacks are guaranteed to make your life in the kitchen a whole lot easier.

Use a Rubber Band to Keep Cutting Boards in Place: Tired of your cutting board slipping and sliding around while you’re trying to chop vegetables? Simply wrap a rubber band around each end of the cutting board to create traction and keep it firmly in place on your countertop. This hack not only improves safety but also makes chopping and slicing more efficient.

Freeze Leftover Herbs in Olive Oil: Don’t let your fresh herbs go to waste! Instead of tossing them out when they start to wilt, chop them up and mix them with olive oil. Pour the mixture into ice cube trays and freeze until solid. Once frozen, pop out the herb-infused olive oil cubes and store them in a freezer bag. Whenever you need a burst of flavor in your cooking, simply drop a cube into your dish and let it melt away.

Use a Muffin Tin to Portion and Freeze Homemade Stock: Homemade stock adds incredible depth of flavor to soups, stews, and sauces, but it can be a hassle to make in large batches. Simplify the process by using a muffin tin to portion and freeze your homemade stock. Pour the stock into the wells of a muffin tin, freeze until solid, then transfer the stock “pucks” to a freezer bag for easy storage. This way, you can thaw only as much stock as you need for your recipes without any waste.

Sharpen Dull Knives with a Ceramic Mug: Say goodbye to dull knives with this ingenious hack! To quickly sharpen a dull blade, simply flip a ceramic mug upside down and run the blade along the unglazed bottom edge at a 20-degree angle, applying light pressure. The rough surface of the ceramic will help realign the blade’s edge, restoring its sharpness in no time. Just be sure to exercise caution and keep your fingers away from the blade while sharpening.

Revive Stale Bread with a Splash of Water and a Quick Toast: Don’t toss out that stale loaf of bread just yet! Instead, revive it to its former glory with a simple trick. Lightly sprinkle the stale bread with water, then pop it in the toaster for a quick cycle. The moisture from the water will rejuvenate the bread, while the toasting process will crisp up the exterior, leaving you with perfectly fresh-tasting bread that’s ready to be enjoyed.

Almond Milk: Almond milk adds a nutty flavor and a hint of sweetness to your coffee drinks. It’s lower in calories and fat than cow’s milk, making it a popular choice for health-conscious coffee lovers.

Soy Milk: Soy milk is another dairy-free alternative that offers a creamy texture and a slightly nutty taste. It’s high in protein and can create a dense foam when frothed, making it ideal for lattes and other milk-based drinks.

Now that you’ve chosen your milk, it’s time to get creative with your coffee recipes. Here are a few ideas to get you started:

Classic Latte: Pour a shot of espresso into a cup, then fill it with steamed milk. Top with a dollop of frothed milk for a luxurious finish.
