    3. Brew the shot of espresso in the shaker, add some ice cubes and shake well.
    4. Pour the cold coffee on top of the drink, now you will have three layers.
    5. Decorate with Jasmine leaves.

    2. Add ice cubes, orange zest and stir more.
    3. Extract your espresso in a separate container and cool with ice.
    4. Add the coffee to the glass and serve.

    I was very excited but nervous when I boarded my early morning flight on Friday, en route to the glamorous Cannes Film Festival with Nespresso. Upon landing in Nice, a driver was waiting to bring me to the iconic Martinez Hotel. Little did I know, the journey from Nice to Cannes would be an adventure in itself—traffic was insane! The city was already buzzing with the arrival of A-list celebrities, adding to the anticipation and chaos.

    Finally, we arrived at the Martinez Hotel, and what a people! Around 50 photographers were stationed outside, eagerly awaiting the next star to grace the red carpet. The energy was electric, and I felt like a part of something truly special. I hurriedly changed and greeted my guests, ready to dive into the festival’s activities.

    Our first stop was La Plage of Nespresso for lunch, located on the famous boulevard of Cannes. The brand activation was impressive, and the location was simply stunning. Below you can find some pictures of this beautiful setup! We enjoyed a delightful meal, surrounded by the buzz of the festival and the stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea.

    After lunch, we headed back to the hotel to get ready for the evening’s main event—the red carpet. In the comfort of my room, we had professional make-up and hair artists transform us for the night ahead. Once we were dressed to the nines, we toasted with some champagne, a perfect way to start the glamorous evening.

    Stepping out of the car and onto the red carpet was an experience like no other. The sheer volume of people, the chaos, and the flash of photographers’ cameras created a surreal atmosphere. It was thrilling to be part of such a prestigious event. We made our way inside to watch the film “Kinds of Kindness,” a unique and thought-provoking movie that lasted three hours.

    The night didn’t end with the film. We headed back to Nespresso La Plage for the afterparty, which turned out to be an absolute blast. The food was delicious, and it was a wonderful opportunity to relax, reflect, and enjoy each other’s company before we had to part ways.

    With lunch concluded, it was time to head back to the hotel and prepare for our journey home. We packed our bags, shared our last goodbyes, and then it was off to the airport. The trip back to Nice was thankfully less chaotic than our arrival, allowing us to savor the final moments of our extraordinary Cannes adventure.

    It’s Friday, so time for a delicious and easy cocktail recipe. Indulge in the perfect blend of coffee and cocktails with this Espresso Martini recipe! Whether you’re a coffee aficionado or a cocktail enthusiast, in this blog post, we’ll guide you through crafting the ultimate Espresso Martini at home. Get ready to shake and achieve that rich, velvety texture and irresistible flavor.

    Ingredients

    • 5 ml Vanilla Syrup
    • 30 ml Vodka
    • 60 g ice cubes
    • 1 teaspoon cacao
    • 1 Nespresso Ristretto capsule
    • decoration of choice
    • Shaker
    • Spoon
    • Martini Glass

    Instructions

    Extract the Ristretto (40ml) Nespresso capsule in a cup over one ice cube and let it cool.

    Pour in the shaker 30ml of vodka, then add 5 ml of Vanilla syrup and 40 ml of the cooled Ristretto. Then add 4 bigger ice cubes and “Shake vigorously for approx. 10 seconds.

    Pour everything without the ice cubes in a Martini Glass (filter with an ice strainer).

    6 tbsp sugar
